Since Idea Grove began hiring its first interns in 2011, founder and CEO Scott Baradell has relied on the University of North Texas Mayborn School of Journalism as a consistent source of talent. The agency has almost always featured one or more UNT alums on the staff from its earliest days.

As part of this mutually beneficial relationship, Idea Grove has participated in mentoring programs, career fairs and other school events, and Scott regularly speaks to Mayborn students about the future of communications, marketing and journalism.

Earlier this month, Scott was recognized for Idea Grove's commitment to UNT with the Frank W and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism Career Service Recognition Award. The award was presented at the annual Celebrate Mayborn gala on the UNT campus.

"It's been a great ride and we couldn't have made it this far without the help of former UNT students," Scott said in accepting the award. "I'm truly amazed by the talent the school turns out every year. We look forward to working together for years to come."
