Idea Grove is an integrated public relations and digital boutique agency based in Dallas and serving B2B technology clients across the nation. We work with established brands like Amazon, NEC and Stanford, along with emerging companies in cutting-edge technology sectors like converged infrastructure and SaaS for industries spanning healthcare, financial services, retail and more. We help clients win by orchestrating high-profile, integrated programs that drive business growth, working with clients’ C-suite to get the attention of media, influencers, customers and partners.

We’re looking for an Account Executive with 2-3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Our AE positions work closely with account leads and can operate as a day-to-day contact for clients, so must have mastery of basic account service activities. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be detail oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Mastery of basic account service activities including research, media lists, project management tools, client communication and meeting documents (presentations, agendas, recaps, etc.)
  • Creating and editing client-ready external materials including news releases, pitches, blogs and other content
  • Developing a project planner for clients and ensuring cross-functional activities are completed
  • Managing client, industry and competitor research to stay on top of trends and news
  • Actively participating in client meetings and providing input to client and teams
  • Creating and maintaining media lists, and flagging opportunities for relevant coverage for clients
  • Drafting speakers bureau and award submissions
  • Drafting press releases, media pitches, interview prep materials and other media materials with an understanding of client goals and the targeted media outlets/contacts
  • Working closely with social and digital team to execute projects, including writing content
  • Conducting media outreach and follow up to secure positive client stories
  • Owning and developing quarterly, monthly, ad hoc and other client reports
  • Participating in new business research and preparation, and onboarding new clients
  • Completing HubSpot’s Inbound and Inbound Marketing certification program, and maintaining knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics to benefit client programs
  • Maintaining professional communication with account teams and clients
  • Learning from senior members of the agency, accepting feedback and coaching
  • Delegating to and guiding junior staff members and interns
  • Serving as a young professional role model to junior staff and interns
