We’re looking for an account manager or senior account manager with 5+ years of experience to join our growing team. Our account managers/senior account managers play a senior role within the agency to manage client relationships and internal teams. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated ability to drive strategy across integrated accounts and successfully manage people. 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Managing and coaching junior team members, both formally and informally
  • Developing and nurturing strong relationships grounded in trust with your clients
  • Driving client strategy - working to understand your clients’ goals, where they and their industries are headed and how we can execute programs that maximize results
  • Managing day-to-day project execution with the account team, including PR programs as well and digital initiatives such as social media, inbound marketing and more
  • Collaborating with internal media relations team on client media relationships, providing input on customized outreach, creative pitches and strategic approaches to product and company announcements
  • Proactively bringing new ideas and fresh perspective to clients and your team
  • Maintaining knowledge of client and customer industries as well as competitors
  • Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintaining knowledge of inbound marketing tactics to bring an integrated perspective to clients
  • Maintaining client profitability by managing and controlling billable hours, addressing scope as needed with clients
  • Identifying additional opportunities for Idea Grove to help clients achieve their goals, including but not limited to ad-hoc projects
  • Participating in new business proposals and pitches
  • Being an entrepreneur within Idea Grove by constantly looking for new ways to improve our team, our company, our strategies and our client offerings – this could be as small as mapping out a new process or as large as proposing a new cutting edge project that will help clients stay ahead of the curve
  • Working successfully in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple account teams and clients
