We’re looking for a talented account director with a minimum of seven years of experience (previous agency experience preferred) to join our growing team. Our account directors play a senior role within the agency to manage client relationships and internal teams. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have demonstrated ability to drive strategy across integrated accounts and successfully manage people. 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Managing and coaching junior team members, both formally and informally
  • Monitoring and improving the general health of client accounts
  • Serving as client relationship steward and maintaining trust with clients
  • Driving client strategy, including understanding clients’ goals, business and industry to develop programs and outreach that maximizes results
  • Maintaining oversight of project execution of account teams, including PR programs as well as digital initiatives such as social media, websites, inbound marketing and more
  • Collaborating with internal media relations team on client media relationships, providing input on customized outreach, creative pitches and strategic approaches to product and company announcements
  • Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactively bringing new ideas and fresh perspective to clients and your team
  • Maintaining knowledge of inbound marketing tactics to bring an integrated perspective to clients
  • Working successfully in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple account teams and clients
  • Ensuring client profitability by managing and controlling billable hours, addressing scope as needed with the client
  • Identifying additional opportunities for Idea Grove to help clients achieve their goals, including but not limited to ad-hoc projects
  • Leading new business proposals and presentations
  • Being an entrepreneur within Idea Grove by constantly looking for new ways to improve our team, our company, strategies and client offerings clients
