And in this corner, the challenger: Lola, the less-famous chihuahua of teen queen Hilary Duff. Stage mom Hilary is making a bold move to elevate Lola to HCIC (Head Chihuahua in Charge) in Hollywood:

Electronic Arts Inc. said on Thursday that the likenesses of actress and recording artist Hilary Duff and her pet Chihuahua Lola will make their video game debuts in “The Sims 2 Pets.”

Players of the popular game, which involves controlling the lives of simulated people, can choose from a variety of existing cat and dog breeds. They can also create their own pets, picking body shapes, markings and personalities. The game will be available Oct. 17 in North America.
