Singlefin Makes Lemonade
From Paul McNamara on the NetworkWorld blog:
Any publicity is good publicity?
They apparently buy into that philosophy over at Singlefin, the seller of anti-spam technology that recently drew attention here and throughout the blogosphere because its public relations company kinda-sorta spammed a bunch of journalists, including this one.
Rather than try to hide from all the attention, someone at Singlefin apparently decided to embrace it, as both the original item I wrote and subsequent mention on Slashdot are displayed prominently on the company’s homepage.
Good for Singlefin. Right choice.
(All of which reminds me of the message I saw recently on a greeting card: “When life serves you lemons, make lemonade. When life serves you crap … don’t make anything at all.”)
Or in the words of Sarah Silverman: “When God gives you AIDs, make LemonAIDs.”
