Apparently, PR Persistence Pays Off — Even With Gawker


It seems like only, oh, seven months ago that Gawker was flash-frying a little Weber Shandwick flack who pitched a KFC story. As we recall, Jessica et al labeled the KFC PR team “imbeciles” and said that Gawker would never cover something as silly as the “On Top of the World of KFC eBay Auction.”

Lo and behold, the KFC news ban has been lifted. Yes, the coverage is snarky — but believe us, KFC will take it.
