Britney Defends Herself

Britney Spears did a great job defending herself on Dateline NBC against her shabby treatment by US Weekly and the supermarket tabloids.

As you know, we believe in the benefits of media training. It’s important to know how you’re going to respond to expected questions — just as it would be in a job interview or other contexts. (We still remember applying for Harvard back in the day and in the interview, the first question was, “Why do you want to go to Harvard?” and we froze and couldn’t come up with an answer. At all. Just 60 seconds of flop-sweat and stammering. No wonder we were deferred and then rejected.)

But even though it’s important to be prepared, you don’t want to come off like Vin Diesel. You need to be yourself. Internalize your answers so that they flow naturally.

Britney did just that, and so far the results look good. Check out the current figures from an MSNBC poll question: “When it comes to Britney Spears, have the paparazzi gone too far?” Of 81,600 responses, more than 80 percent say “yes.”

And when it comes to holding a baby the right way, has she gone too far?

    100% said yes.

    ;-p

I can’t believe people are actually buying her sob story. She does her best to attract media attention, but when it’s not all positive, she goes on national television and cries about it!

I think there may be a gender divide here; Cathy thinks Britney is full of it, too.

Personally, I think what she’s saying is:

    Everytime I try to fly
    I fall
    Without my wings
    I feel so small

I may have made it rain
    Please forgive me
    My weakness caused you pain
    And this song’s my sorry

And this post is MY sorry, Britney.

I have no sympathy left for her. Especially with all that’s going on in the world.

“You have to realize that we’re people.”

    – No one should ever feel sorry for you.

    “Accidents happen.”

    – Because you’re an idiot.

    “I feel like I’m a target.”

    – A good one, too.

“I have no regrets about anything I’ve ever done.”

    – That’s good, because you’re married to a schmuck. My guess is you’ll be divored within a year anyway.

Yeah, she’s made mistakes. But all this negative karma isn’t doing anyone any good.

Let’s all just refuse to purchase “Popozao” and let’s leave it at that.

first of all’ she never asked for sympathy and second wouldn’t you stumble over what you said if they were recording every word.questioning what you say as you say it. i only wish she would have brought little sean preston with her so we all could have seen her with him.then maybe people would have made nicer comments plus he so cute.

SB- Not being negative. I’m Mr. Glass half-full, but she brings it on herself.

Maybe her mom should spend less time worrying about her own photo-ops and teach her daughter the right way to put a kid in a car seat.

A harsh critique of her singing is up for debate, I agree, but when it comes to stuff that endangers her kid, stuff you and I would get ticketed for, she shouldn’t get a pass.
