Blogger Uses Blog to Hit on Hot News Anchor — and It Works!

True story:

A blogger in Knoxville, Tenn., wrote about his lust for newly hired WBIR-TV anchor Abby Ham on his blog — twice.

Amazingly, Abby e-mailed the blogger to thank him for his “kind words,” to say it was “a fun way to be welcomed to Knoxville,” and to suggest that “maybe we will actually get to meet in person in the future.” Turns out they had a mutual friend.

The sly blogger, an improv comedian, then invited Abby to come watch his troupe perform. She wasn’t able to make it — but sent a cameraman to shoot the performance for her kicker story that night. The blogger proudly points out that “she had a big smile as she introduced the tape.”

What a stud.

Sadly, the dude’s married and that’s as far as it will go, we assume. But for all the lonely, crazed, stalker-type bloggers out there … at least there’s hope.

The big news in Knoxville today is that Abby Ham is moving to Cleveland (Ohio -- not Cleveland, Tennessee). Click here for the story.

Frankly Frank (et al), I'm a little disappointed that Abby hasn't contacted ME yet because of this post...THAT'S why I really did it ;)

frank, listen to the m,k @frank show every weekday. if you willing to pursue the bodacious abby hamm, i'll be happy to take your throw-away wife jere. i neeed a good woman to take care of me. even thouigh i have been married for 25 years. think its time to change models

I am glad that Abby Ham is in Knoxville now. She definitely is a cute lady. Michelle Silva is my favorite local anchor.

I live in Knoxville, TN, and I too have been delighted to watch Abby Ham on my television. In fact, all of the news anchors on WBIR are smart and attractive. Hmmm, maybe that's why they are rated the number 1 news cast in East, TN...

Aaron: Media Orchard has contacted our satellite provider to see if we can add WBIR to our channel lineup. Alternatively, we're also looking at relocating to Knoxville.

I have to give Frank props, at least he has great taste!!!

This is absolutely hillarious. Way to go Frank (and Frank's wife)!

Hi Frank (and Mrs. Frank):I stumbled upon your blog when I was doing research on a hot news anchor who I stalk: Melissa Theuriau. A blog post that mentioned her referenced your Abby Ham posts and I checked them out: Fun stuff!

My wife told me she posted here but I had to see it for myself to believe it. She has always been a fan of Topper Shutt on WUSA-TV.Thanks for the mention on your site. How did you happen to stumble across my blog postings about Abby Ham?

I am shocked! My husband has the hots for a pretty news anchor?!? Gee, that's never happened before. Good news, I happen to go for attractive weathermen, so we have interesting role play in the "evening" at our house.
