We won’t drag the company name into this. But in case anyone is wondering, the launch of a “massive PR campaign” is generally unlikely to move a stock, and if it does, the result can just as easily be to move the stock downward as upward.
PR and ad campaigns don’t come as a surprise to the pros who follow a stock, so any stock impact should occur before such a campaign launches.
More importantly, the business results of a PR or advertising campaign — determined over months, not days or weeks — are what will ultimately impact a company’s valuation.
