Is There a Different (Lower) Standard for Radio Journalism? Subtitle: Colin Cowherd Is a Jackass

From a letter from Charles Monagan to Romenesko:

It was instructive to see how quickly the crowd gathered around Ben Domenech and saw to his speedy dismissal on plagiarism charges, yet there’s been no such reaction to ESPN Radio’s Colin Cowherd’s swiping of material equally not his own (and his swinish reaction when confronted by the originators). Are there really no standards for radio plagiarism? Maybe Domenech ought to check out career opportunities at the Post’s new radio station.

  1. Lone Ranger says:

He could also run for the Senate, where notorious plagiarist Joe Biden still sits.

  2. SB says:

Good point. Among Dems, you can throw Kennedy in that group, too.

  3. Make the logo bigger says:

Different standard for the Official Athlete Apologist Network that is ESPN? Sure is. Everyone there is untouchable.
