Of course I won’t care about my stupid Technorati rank on my deathbed. And YOU KNOW WHAT Jeremy? I also won’t care that I made “PR more pure” or whatever you might think is a worthwhile career mission.

Ever since I left journalism, my goals have been to have career success on my own terms as much as possible; to have fun as often as possible; and to not take myself too seriously. It’s been an approach that has kept me from getting ulcers.

That said, the link stuff is fun for me. So what? I hope to hell you can see the tongue-in-cheek, self-mocking tone of all these posts.

And if some little clique wants to remove my blog from their blogroll because they think it’s “not important,” they can kiss my ass. THOSE are the people I care least about.

That’s for others to live that way.

For you, I see it as “I am glad I spent quality time with my wife and dog, and did all those great things.” Don’t let this own you.

Shit, I never bother checking that stuff. It’s just not in my genes. I read your blog because you say stuff - that should be enough.
