We noticed that our Technorati ranking based on unique links is now 3,099, which puts us very close to cracking the Vaunted Top 3,000. (Actually we kind of made up the “vaunted” part. And the cap letters — we added that, too.)

For those of you unfamiliar with the Technorati system, you jump up the rankings based on links from blogs that have never linked to you before (at least during the past six months.) Media Orchard currently has 926 links from 376 sites.

We did a little checking and figured out that we could crack the Vaunted Top 3,000 with only 10 more links from sites that haven’t linked to us before.

So, if you read Media Orchard and have a blog, but have never linked to us before — perhaps because your blog is about airplane mechanics, taxidermy or other unrelated topics — we say it’s time to link to us just to show your love.

You say you can’t think of a legitimate reason to link to us? Here, we’ll even write the post for you. Feel free to cut and paste this directly into your blog (Ben, this should come naturally for you):
