NBC’s David Gregory usually just comes off as a pompous ass. But on Imus the other day, he came off as a drunk pompous ass, as this video shows.
Some folks have actually organized an effort to get the man fired. If arrogance and alleged drunkenness were sufficient grounds, however, there’d be no White House press corps.

I’ve listened to him on Imus from time to time, and he does tend to act silly when he’s on the show. He may have just been jetlagged. And it’s not uncommon for Imus to accuse call-in guests of being drunk.
NBC, btw, has denied that Gregory had been drinking when he was on the show.
I think the more interesting thing is that some conservatives are trying to leverage the appearance to get Gregory fired.
