Why We Write in First Person Plural

We have been asked why we write in the first person plural, since obviously some mysterious entity known as “SB” posts every item.
Two reasons:
1. No, it’s not the “royal we.” It’s not even the “editorial we.” It’s this one.
2. Because from April 12 to April 28, we are seeking a guest blogger to maintain Media Orchard while we are away. Job requirements:
– No pay, except you can link to yourself and your friends ad nauseum
– Minimum of three posts per week
– Maintain the tone and spirit of Media Orchard
– No duplicating posts from another blog you maintain

I don’t know who could fill those wee shoes there. Good luck with the hunt.
I’d toss my hat in the ring if I were A) smart enough or B) not traveling during that time as well.
Seriously, not to be a buttkisser, but the unique voice here at the Orchard will be hard to reproduce, but I look forward to reading whoever you find.
Thanks Tim! I have to kiss so much butt in my job that it’s nice to get mine smooched once in a while
I might sign up for Wednesdays, or something like that.
I think you almost need a rotating committee of “guest hosts” to make this work. I shoot for four to five posts a week, and that’s a steep committment to add on fresh content for a completely different blog.
Anyone else want to take a ride on the merry-go-round?
Well, Ike, thank you … but let’s not hand around my blog like a two-bit hooker if you don’t mind…;)
I already have a couple of volunteers so I may split up duties between two or at most three people.
I like your style. Keep it.
