Pick of the Orchard 2.15.06

Hi everyone. For those awaiting our “Honest Moments” list, we must report that duty has called and we now won’t be able to post it until Thursday. (Why does this work stuff keep getting in the way of our blog??)

Oh, and for those of you who’ve been snooping around and found that new “Project X” of ours — keep it to yourself! It’s not ready yet.

If you read any of today’s picks, you must check out the first one. The visualization of teen breakups made me wonder what a similar project documenting New York magazine’s feuding blog hierarchy would look like. Read Phil’s post for more on that.

The visualization may take a moment to load, so be patient.

  • Online visualization of teens breakups (we make money not art)
  • Why I Hate the “A-List” Mentality (Phil Gomes)
  • Tell Me a Story (Harry Hoover)
  • Why Couldn’t Google Do It? (Touchstone)
  • The Demise of TV: Don’t Hold Your Breath (Being Reasonable)
  • ‘Life & Style’ Announces TomKat Split (U.N. Spacy)

Regarding Project X, the wait is killing me… especially since I know what it is. How much longer?!

It might be a couple weeks. I’m trying to add a form to automate the submission process … and heck, I can’t even get my “Honest Moments” list finished.

I’m really happy that you’re interested in the concept!
