Media Orchard Appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Sprint

Here’s the pitch. Kevin and Todd, you decide on the quality. We’ll probably try it out.

Just curious who else is doing this?

Hi,

The Sprint Ambassador Team recently visited Ideagrove.com and wants to invite you to participate in our Ambassador Program.

The Sprint Ambassador Program is all about exploring our latest products and services and allows you to give direct feedback to Sprint. We recently launched the Sprint Power Vision (SM) Network and want to provide you with the full experience, at no charge. Sprint Power Vision Network enables customers to download data at faster speeds and experience new data products.

So what’s the deal?

As a qualified participant, we will send you one Sprint Power Vision phone and provide you with six months of all-access service (at no charge). You’ll have access to the Sprint Music Store(SM) live TV broadcasts, gaming and more. Yes, you will also have unlimited free calling and data service. It’s a pretty good deal and all we ask for in return is your candid feedback (you decide how much and how often).

Register at: http://ambassador.sprint.com/
You will need your unique registration code: [noneya]

If you have questions regarding the registration process or the program, please email us at AmbassadorProgram@sprint.com

We look forward to receiving your registration!

    Scott:

I signed up … even though what I really want is a Treo 700. But I figured I would give the Sprint phone a workout.

  2. SB says:

I’m sure STEVE got one ;)

Good point, Jeremy. Here’s how I’d rewrite it:

Conceptually it’s fodder for the Smart Pitch Blog (I trademarked it, along with Dumb Pitch. Don’t bother).

But it does run long. Not so long that it lost you and John as members along with Joseph Jaffe and Steve Rubel…amongst others.

  5. David Jones says:

Holy hair-splitting. If we’re measuring outputs here, then I’d say they’re doing a good job getting popular bloggers signed up. We’ll have to take their word on the outcomes.

  6. SB says:

What the hell would bloggers do if they couldn’t split hairs, David? Are you trying to put us out of business? :)

  7. David Jones says:

Point well taken, Scott :) I guess the PR blogosphere would be kinda boring if it was a mutual admiration society.

  8. Allan Jenkins says:

I consider it nothing less than spam… they clearly didn’t read our blogs, or they’d know some of us don’t appreciate being spammed.

When I wrote them to complain, I got a BS letter saying it wasn’t spam. I’m sure their legal department made them say that.

I’m covering it at Desirable Roasted Coffee.

  9. Kami Huyse, APR says:

I just got an invitation today., of course way after you head of the “Magic Middle” types (ha-ha). I don’t mind doing this, but don’t you think that if we do it we should actually try to launch some sort of moblogging or other Social Media program to really test it out? Also, so we actually learn something? I have no intention of blogging about this thing unless I can find something on topic to say. Of course, we can just hack away at the campaign itself I guess.
