Take your pick of car seats here: http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_list.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302032887&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302023689 By the way, is that a Ferrari 360 Modena?
Many many years ago when I was very very new in dogs, my then puppy bitch (now 10 year old senior citizen) crawled into my lap as I was driving to my Mum's. I got stopped, cited for "K9 in lap" but no fine :-) Now they travel in the way back, young dogs always in crates (safer for them).

Reggie is still not satisfactorily potty-trained, so operating heavy machinery is out of the question.

Too late. I sent a link to a couple of radical animal rights organizations. In future, I'd check under the car before starting it.
