I just got a response from PRSA about adding blogs to the daily e-mail. This was the answer:

We are certainly always looking for new resources to add into the PR Issues and Trends newsletter, and will be discussing adding blogs to the mix within the next month.

Well, we’re members, right? So I guess any one of us could start something called “PRSA Blog” and just start posting. We’d probably top the PRSA Web site in traffic within a few months.

Look, I think the PRSA is important, particularly with all the scandals the industry is facing at the moment. But every once in a while, we all need a friendly nudge…

I agree and will send, I also think PRSA needs to start a blog, but when I offered that idea on a leadership call, I was pretty much shot down.

Agreed. There’s much more intelligent PR commentary in blogs than in the MSM.

At least PRSA frequently discusses blogs in its monthly “Public Relations Tactics” print publication. It’s a baby-steps start…
