Our FeedBurner Subscribers Are Perves

We have a confession to make. We still use My Yahoo to receive our RSS feeds.

But we’re clearly in the minority; here’s FeedBurner’s summary of the readers, aggregators and e-mail services used by Media Orchard’s subscribers — broken down by percentage.

Bloglines: 30.7
Google Desktop: 17.0
FeedBlitz (E-mail): 10.4
Firefox Live Bookmarks: 7.5
My Yahoo: 6.6
NetNewsWire: 6.6
Other Readers: 21.2

The most clicked-through post via FeedBurner in the past month? We figured it would be this one, but it’s actually this one by a wide margin.

We know this data includes click-throughs from resyndicators. But still –

Perves.

Well, your Saugeen Stripper story WAS very well done, so pat yourselves on the back. Still, your point is valid, that Web/blog surfers often look for the perverse. I often wonder about this when I review my own blog stats. I actually pulled one of my earlier posts — it was about writing good heads. It generated a lot of traffic, but not the kind I wanted. ;-)

Hmmmm….I think I’d rather NOT know too much about my readers. I’m afraid of what it might say about me….

Actually, late last year you had a lot of skin in your posts. I was starting to think I entered a male locker room from time-to-time (ha-ha).

I also use My Yahoo, I kind of like the layout.

Yeah — I usually try to redeem the skin with intelligent associated commentary. But sometimes it’s just … skin.
