Wikipedia: Growing Pains — or Just Pains?
Heather Green at Blogspotting calls attention to this CNET piece on Wikipedia’s current travails, in which founder Jimmy Wales says the online encyclopedia will no longer allow anonymous users to create new articles.
That’s nice. Of course, anonymous users still will be able to edit existing entries, a la Adam Curry.
Advice to Wikipedia: Tread carefully. The world is watching now. The next six months will make or break your credibility.
And is anything more important to a reference source than credibility?
