Editorial Cartoonists: An Endangered Species
Newspapers increasingly believe local editorial cartoonists are a luxury they can do without. In protest of recent layoffs, the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists organized “Black Ink Monday” today, highlighted by 100 cartoons posted at EditorialCartoonists.com.
Ultimately, cutting staff won’t save newspapers. More creative solutions are needed.
