Why I Don’t Use the Word "Meme"

Three reasons:

1. I’m not a memeticist.

2. I don’t want “meme” to become the next “paradigm shift.”

3. A Technorati search yields 89,923 blog posts that use the term.

If I ever have the inclination to use “meme,” I’ll think of a different word that means more or less the same thing.

Deal? Deal.
