Technorati’s Top 25 Texas Blogs
OK, at the risk of publishing lists until you’re listless, I’m following up my post on “The Top 25 Public Relations Blogs” with this one.
As I explained in my earlier post — which led to similar lists in other categories by Hans and others — I know the methodology leaves much to be desired. But (maybe because I’m on the small-brained side) I still consider it fun.
So without further ado, here’s Technorati’s list of the top 25 blogs tagged “Texas,” sorted by authority. Howdy, pardners.
1. Right Side of the Rainbow
2. Mommy Needs Coffee
3. GruntDoc
4. Elephant in My Coffee

I know many prominent Texas blogs are missing — the favorite in Dallas, FrontBurner, comes to mind — and I also know that it makes no sense for a blog called “K Street Blues” (as in, the thoroughfare in Washington, D.C.) to appear on this list. But like I said, it’s fun, and serves to illustrate some of Technorati’s current strengths and limitations.
If nothing else, by drawing attention to the Blog Finder ranking service (which is still in beta, btw), perhaps we’ll get more folks signing up with Technorati.
Technorati tags: PR, Technorati, Marketing, Texas

I’m sure lots o’ blogs aren’t tagging– I wasn’t, and now am #7…
Yep…I’m doing free marketing for Technorati.
Peg is Dallas’ Pegasus News for those who may be wondering.
Say, Peg, I noticed DallasBlog had a billboard on the Tollway today. Looks like some serious competition?
Tagging is still new to me - I haven’t been doing it, and yet I’m 13 on the list. Go figure.
Hey — I run the “Journalism Is For Rockstars” blog. I also have a PR degree. So…you guys hiring? Eh? Eh?
Of course it makes sense! I’m from Texas and work on K Street in Washington. There ya have it folks …
Last, but not least!
Thx for publishing the list
Making lists is a great way to find blogs that one might not otherwise run into. I recommend it.
Oh, and we’re not hiring, newspaper hack. Sorry…
Good Grief! How did mine make the top 25? In at 22.
Rock on! Number 2 on your list (but bumped down to 3 since then) and I didn’t even know it. *grin* If nothing else, I found some great reads from there.
Just found this blog and am loving every second of it! Thanks!
