Prank Blog Nearly Gets Southwest Airlines Magazine Editor Canned

Eric Celeste, Dallas journalism fixture and current editor of Spirit, the in-flight pub of Southwest Airlines, reports that he almost got fired over www.ericceleste.com (now apparently taken down), a blog that some of his friends created as a prank.

Read the details as posted by one of the pals, Tim Rogers of D Magazine’s FrontBurner.

If the blog had been real, Eric wouldn’t be the first person fired over such a thing. Check out the sad (and dopey) saga of Kelly Kreth.

A quick search shows that Eric does have a couple of personal blogs (unless these are pranks, too…) They seem harmless enough.

Thats pretty funny. Good thing he didnt lose his job. I run a prank website called blurnt.com and I might just have to post that on there.
