Jeremy: I think you’re right. A lot of people are blogging because its trendy or because they think they’ll be able to make a quick buck off of it. But it takes a lot of work to sustain a blog; only people who really enjoy doing it will be able to stick with it.

They are missing #6 – will your blog even be alive in, say, 2 years time? Someone I respect noted that he expects to see more and more blogs abandoned in the next year, as people move on. If that’s true, I wonder how it will affect blogs and readership.
