Readers of ABC News Blog Get Punk’d

I recently blogged that Jimmy Carter’s unfairly derided “malaise” speech was one of the last moments of political honesty by an American president.

Now ABC News’ political blog, The Note, has punk’d its readers by publishing the Carter speech and claiming it was an advance copy of a speech by George Bush. The Note was trying its hand at satire, but apparently many readers were not amused.
